Winston Park Junior High School is at the northeast corner of Palatine Road and Rohlwing Road and Palatine Township High School is on the east side of Rohlwing Road one mile north of Lake Louise. Harper Junior College is on the east side of Roselle Road about two miles south of Palatine Road.
The Palatine Park District has 640 acres of parks. Maple Park is located on Winston Drive a few blocks from Lake Louise. Twin Lakes Park, with a nine-hole public golf course and small sailing/paddle boat lake, is south of Palatine Road west of Route 53. Many upscale shopping centers line Rand and Palatine Roads. Woodfield, one of the world's largest shopping centers, is only minutes away and Arlington International Race Course is located on Wilke Road two miles south of Lake Louise.
